REVIEW: Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

You don't see me talking about mascaras very often and that's because unlike most people I am usually not picky about it. But today I will show you a product that really impressed me and that I would definitely repurchase.

I got this Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara mini in a Glossybox and I instantly fell in love with it. The mini contains 4,8g of product and it retails for 12€ in Sephora. The packaging is seriously so pretty and the water droplets look very real. It's also very portable because it's so tiny, so more bonus points.

The brush is really easy too use. Not too big, not too small and it's hard to poke yourself in the eye (which happens most of the time when I get a new mascara).

I usually wear thick eyeliner so no mascara will give me the doll eyelashes effect. I usually only apply mascara to avoid having my makeup look unfinished. But when I first started using this I was very impressed that it almost gave me a natural falsies effect.

I usually apply just one layer of Better Than Sex because ain't nobody got time for more but I get a very beautiful effect.

Обикновено нанасям само един слой от Better Than Sex, защото кой има време за повече, но получавам много красив ефект.

A huge bonus is that the formula is very waterproof and it doesn't budge all day. Lately every non-waterproof mascara smudges at some point but I have never had issues with this one. The formula was perfect to use since I opened the mascara which is again a huge plus. Now, 5 months later (review was written 2 months before it was posted), it's a little bit thick and hard to use but that's because there isn't much product left either.

Огромен бонус е, че формулата е много водоустойчива и не мърда цял ден. Напоследък всички неводоустойчиви спирали ми се размазват по някое време, но не съм имала проблеми с тази. Формулата е идеална още щом я отворите, което отново е голям бонус. Сега, 5 месеца по-късно (ревюто е писано 2 месеца преди да бъде публикувано), е малко гъста и трудна за употреба, но това е защото няма останал много продукт.

After washing my hand with water

You can see on my photo that the mascara didn't even budge after washing my hand and rubbing it afterwards. Of course, there are downsides too. You need a special (preferably oil-based) makeup remover to wash it off completely. Your micellar water really won't do an amazing job at removing this mascara. I find that if I don't use an oil cleanser, I usually find myself with panda eyes on the next day.

Трябва ви специален (за предпочитане на мастна основа) дегримьор, за да я свалите изцяло. Мицеларната ви вода няма да се справи перфектно с премахването. По мое мнение, ако не ползвам почистващо олио, обикновено се събуждам с панда очи на другия ден.

My swatches are with a full eye makeup and eyeliner but I think it is pretty visible this mascara makes my lashes look long and voluminous. If I apply more layers and I overdo it with the mascara, my lashes start touching my glasses so I try to keep it simple.

Суочовете ми са на цялостен очен грим с очна линия, но мисля, че доста добре се вижда, че тази спирала прави миглите ми дълги и обемни. Ако нанеса повече слоеве и прекаля със спиралата, миглите ми започват да се допират в очилата, затова се опитвам да избягвам този момент.

I am really happy with the quality of this mascara. It is exactly what I want from a formula and it I find the effect more than sufficient so I am definitely going to repurchase it despite having a whole stash of mascaras to try next. It takes 30 seconds to apply and I am always certain I won't end up with clumpy lashes and it's a real winner in my book.

Много съм доволна от качеството на тази спирала. Точно това, което искам от една формула е и ефектът е повече от задоволителен, затова и определено ще си я купя пак, въпреки че имам няколко неотворени спирали. Отнема ми само 30 секунди да я нанеса и винаги съм сигурна, че няма да ми се сплъстят миглите, така че за мен си е победител.

If you are wondering what mascara to try next, I would highly recommend going for the Better Than Sex Mascara. Considering the drugstore mascara pricing in France, this really isn't all that expensive and I have honestly never found a better drugstore mascara. What I like:  Cute packaging  Rather affordable (12€ for the mini, 23€ for the full size)  Decent amount of product (4,8 g for the mini)  Extremely waterproof  Very easy application  Gives both volume and length Super longlasting What I don't like:  Hard to take off  All in all: 5/5 Long time no see, uni life is quite busy lately but I have a lot of reviews coming for you.

BEST OF 2016: Makeup

It's time for the yearly favorites and I am starting with makeup. I don't have a lot this year and definitely not a product in every category but I wanted to show you only things that I got in 2016 and I sincerely liked a lot.

Време е за годишните любимци и започвам с грима. Нямам много тази година, и определено няма продукт във всяка категория, но исках да ви покажа само неща, които съм купила през 2016 и наистина много са ми харесали.

Looking at all these products and and thinking how much I enjoy using them, 2016 has definitely been a good year for makeup.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream #13 Bright Beige I managed to find a sample of this BB cream and after trying it, I immediately bought the full size. Shade #13 is super pale, it's a stable NW10 but it works for my N10-15 skin as well. This BB cream has a creamy formula, it's super easy to apply even with fingers and most of the time it looks flawless. It has medium to high coverage for a BB cream and since I got it I have been using this constantly. Mizon Snail Repair Blemish Balm The snail BB cream was my other discovery this year and I should have tried it sooner. I am currently preparing you a review for it. It's NC15 but also works well for my skin tone, compared to the Missha, this one is a bit trickier to apply and can look heavy but on the other hand, it's a really good option for summer because it stays all day. In winter, it sometimes accentuates my drier parts. A good bonus is that it has really great ingredients lists and also actively helps my skin, if I use this when I have some sort of irritation, it actually looks better when I take it off. Innisfree Ampoule Moisture Cushion #C13 Light Beige  I am in love with this cushion mostly because it's a really good N10-15 shade and it matches me perfectly. Compared to the previous two BBs, this cushion is a lot lighter, doesn't have much coverage and it disappears from my face much quicker. I still love it for the moisturizing formula though so I have been using it now that it's cold.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream #13 Bright Beige Успях да намеря мостра на този BB крем и след като го пробвах, веднага си го купих. Цвят #13 е  много светъл, стабилно NW10, но става и за моята N10-15 кожа. Този BB ре има кремообразна формула, много лесно се нанася дори с пръсти и през повечето време изглежда перфектно. Има средно до високо покритие за BB крем и откакто го получих го ползвам постоянно. Mizon Snail Repair Blemish Balm Охлювеното BB беше другото ми откритие тази година и трябваше да го пробвам по-рано. В момента ви подготвям ревю за него. То е NC15, но също пасва и на моята кожа, сравнен с Missha този се нанася по-трудно, защото може да изглежда по-тежко, но е добра опция за лятото, защото издържа цял ден. През зимата понякога ми подчертава сухите участъци. Добър бонус е, е имам много хубав състав и активно помага на кожата, ако го използвам докато имам раздразнения, всъщност изглеждат по-добре когато го изтрия. Innisfree Ampoule Moisture Cushion #C13 Light Beige  Влюбена съм в този кушън, предимно защото е много добро N10-15 и пасва идеално. Сравнено с предишните 2 BB-та е доста по-леко, няма много покритие и изчезва доста по-бързо. Много ми харесва, че формулата е е хидратираща обаче и затова често го ползвам сега когато е студено.

Sleek i-Divine Palette #429 All Night Long I am absolutely mind-blown by this palette. I don't think that I've had another palette where I love all the shades equally. I have been using this constantly since I received and it's the perfect neutral mix for me. I use the matte brown for my brows and the matte beige for my brow bone. I got this palette on a sale from FeelUnique so I paid only 8€ for it (I also got Oh So Special and Au Naturel) and for the price, it's absolutely worth it. The quality is really decent, the majority of shades here are very pigmented and easy to blend.

Sleek i-Divine Palette #429 All Night Long Тази палитра ми скри шапката! Не мисля, че съм имала друга палитра където да обичам всички цветове еднакво. Използвам я постоянно откакто я получих, защото е идеалният неутрален микс за мен. Използвам матовото кафяво за веждите си, а матовото бежово за под веждата. Взех си палитрата намалена от FeelUnique и платих само 8€ за нея (взех също и Oh So Special и Au Naturel) и за тази цена абсолютно си заслужава. Качеството е много сносно, повечето цветове са много пигментирани и лесни за преливане.

Aura Matte Velvet Feel Matte Longlasting Lip Cream #605 Checkmate This is my favorite red of the year. This shade is absolutely beautiful and the formula makes it my perfect winter lipstick. I am preparing a review for this Aura lipsticks. Aura Matte Velvet Feel Matte Longlasting Lip Cream #617 Stop Staring Stop Staring isn't as eye-catching as Checkmate but that's exactly why I am often wearing. It's a muted mauve and it goes well with most of my makeup looks (mostly neutral ones) so it's always the option I am going to pick when I know I will have a long day and I won't have the time to fix my lipstick. The staying power is really a huge bonus here. Château Labiotte Wine Lip Tint #OR01 Chardonnay Orange I only recently got this but I am so in love with it already! Look at it, it's a lip tint in a wine bottle! <3 This lip tint has one of the most beautiful vibrant orange shades I have seen. When I wear this, it makes my whole face glow. Even my boyfriend noticed (over skype call with poor resolution) how different this makes my whole makeup because he asked me what am I wearing. This is seriously longlasting too because it's a real lip tint and it stains your lips to the point where you will have a really hard time removing it. I had quite a greasy lunch yesterday and it hadn't even budged after the whole thing.

Aura Matte Velvet Feel Matte Longlasting Lip Cream #605 Checkmate Това е любимото ми червено за годината. Цветът е изключително красив, а формулата го прави идеалното зимно червило. Подготвям ревю за червилата на Aura. Aura Matte Velvet Feel Matte Longlasting Lip Cream #617 Stop Staring Stop Staring не привлича погледа като Checkmate, но точно затова често го нося. То е убито мораво и си отива с повечето ми гримове (предимно неутрални), така че винаги е опцията която ще избера когато ме чака дълъг ден и няма да имам време да си оправям червилото. Издръжливостта му е огромен плюс. Château Labiotte Wine Lip Tint #OR01 Chardonnay Orange Съвсем наскоро го получих, но вече толкова много го харесвам! Вижте го, това тинт във винена бутилка! <3 Този тинт е едно от най-красивите ярки оранжеви, които съм виждала. Когато го нося, прави цялото ми лице да сияе. Дори приятелят ми забеляза (през скайп с лоша резолюция) колко различен прави целия грим, защото ме попита какво нося. И е много издръжливо, защото е истински тинт и оцветява устните толкова много, е после доста трудно ще го махнете. Вчера си хапнах доста мазен обяд и дори не беше помръднало.

Etude House Drawing Eye Brow #02 Grey Brown Another discovery of the year, the Etude House eyebrow pencils! This pencil has the perfect formula and shade and just makes doing my eyebrows a piece of cake. On top of that, it also lasts all day without budging at all compared to the eyeshadows I used to use. I got 2 more of these, and I highly recommend them to everyone. Super inexpensive and huge variety of shades. Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara I absolutely fell in love with this mascara. It makes me look like I wear falsies and it doesn't smudge all day long. This is so waterproof I have a hard time removing it and it happens quite often that I wake up with panda eyes on the next day. I am seriously considering investing in a full size of this, this mascara is brilliant! KIKO Colour Shock Long Lasting Eyeshadow #107 Inspiration Emerald This was a random impulse buy and it happened to be a hidden gem. I really love colorful eye pencils and I have a handful of the shades I love. Inspiration Emerald is extremely beautiful turquoise but the best part is how easy this is to apply. The formula is so soft and creamy, the pencil is super pigmented. This also easily lasts 6 hours in my waterline and it has never happened with any other pencil. I wanted to get a backup but it was out of stock when I went back and since it was limited edition, it's unlikely I will find it again. I managed to get 2 backups of the shade Sporty Cream though. I didn't photograph it here but it's the most beautiful pinky beige and it looks absolutely gorgeous in the waterline and gives you that "I slept 10 hours tonight" look. These pencils were really surprising and I do hope KIKO will bring them back one day. That was all from me! Is any of these your favorite as well? Etude House Drawing Eye Brow #02 Grey Brown Още едно откритие на година, моливите за вежди на Etude House! Този молив има идеалните формула и цвят и да си оформя веждите с него е изключително лесно. Освен това, издържа цял ден без да мръдне, сравнен със сенките, които използвах. Имам още 3 от тях. Силно препоръчвам на всички! Съвсем достъпни и има огромен избор от цветове! Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara Влюбих се в тази спирала. Прави ме да изглеждам все едно нося изкуствени мигли и въобще не се размазва. Толкова е водоустойчива, е трудно я свалям и често се случва да се събудя с панда очи на другия ден. Честно обмислям да си я купя в пълен размер, тъй като е просто жестока! KIKO Colour Shock Long Lasting Eyeshadow #107 Inspiration Emerald Това беше импулсивна покупка и се оказа скрито съкровище. Много харесвам цветни моливи и имам доста в цветовете, които харесвам. Inspiration Emerald е много красив тюркоаз, но най-хубавата част е колко лесно се нанася. Формулата е толкова мека и кремообразна, моливът е супер пигментиран. Лесно издържа по 6 часа във водната линия и никога преди не ми се е случвало с друг молив. Исках да си взема още един, но беше свършил когато се върнах и тъй като беше лимитиран, едва ли ще го намеря пак. Успях да си взема 2 резерви от цвета Sporty Cream обае. Не го снимах тук, но е най-красивото розовеещо бежово и изглежда невероятно във водната линия, придавайки онзи вид "тази вечер спах 10 часа". Тези моливи бяха голяма изненада и се надявам KIKO да ги върнат пак един ден. Това беше всичко от мен! Някой от тях любимец ли ви е и на вас? Glossybox France September 2016

I received Glossybox for September today and I am super excited to show it to you because I absolutely love it! I also got last month's Glossybox but I didn't have the time to take photos and make a post. The box was really convincing though!

The design this month is interesting, I wouldn't call it beautiful but I will use the box to store sheet masks. Glossybox costs 15€ in France.

I opened the box today and wow! So many cool stuff! Is that a brush cleaning tool? I wanted  one for ages!

Inside this box we found: A secret product! It's a shampoo and it's produced in the UK by Procter & Gamble, Glossybox says it was just launched. I definitely wanna find out what it is now! It smells good, will be tested as soon as possible. I have received a hair conditioner by Aussie in this same packaging and the brand is owned by P&G so I'm pretty convinced it's them. I checked their site and the ingredients are very similar to their shampoos but it's not there yet. So perhaps it is about to launched?  Size: 75 ml; Price ??? The Vintage Cosmetic Company Brush Cleaning Tool. I really wanted such tool because it makes brush washing much quicker and easier. Will be tested tonight.  Price: 7,50€ Académie Dermo-Hydrating Fluid. This product is fragrance-free. The ingredients look good, will be used. I needed a new AM moisturizer. The product contains allantoin, calming ingredient. Size: 15 ml; Price: 34,20€ for 50 ml Universal Beauty Cosmetics Secret Flush #04 Nectar. It's a Taiwanese brand and I can't wait to test thoroughly. I tried it on my cheeks today and it's a beautiful peachy color. Not sure how it will work out as a lip stain though. The packaging is adorable! Size: 4,5 g; Price: 18€ Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Woooow, Glossybox sent us a full size of this cult favorite mascara! Of course I am really excited to try it. I don't know about you but I am really happy with the box this month. Glossybox have definitely stepped up their game! When I first subscribed in 2013 they often sent products that didn't interest me at all or I couldn't use them because they didn't correspond to my beauty profile. Now the last two boxes I got are absolutely fantastic and both times it felt like Christmas time when I opened them. I am also waiting for the special 6-year anniversary Birchbox this month (it will be two boxes actually) and I will show it to you as soon as I get it.

Когато първо се абонирах през 2013, често изпращаха продукти, които не ме интересуваха или нямаше как да ползвам, защото не отговаряха на профила ми. Последните две кутии, които получих обаче са фантастични и два пъти беше като Коледа когато ги отварях. Чакам и специалното издание за 6-тия рожден ден на Birchbox този месец (ще бъдат две кутии всъщност) и ще ви го покажа веднага щом го получа.
