REVIEW: Yves Rocher Limited Edition Collection Red Apple

I'm a bit late with the review of the Yves Rocher Christmas collection and I completely missed it last year because I really wasn't feeling inspired by it. This year, I'm starting the review with Red Apple.

I have almost the entire collection with the exception of the body butter and the bar soap but both seemed like things I didn't really need at the moment. I didn't get that candle either although I would have loved to but this year they only have the small 75 g and I really wanted to get the big ones. I'm almost completely certain the Red Apple collection is exactly the same as Apple Delight which was the Autumn collection in 2016.

I love the Christmas liquid soaps and I always buy them every year. They're a bit pricey at 2.95€ for a 190 ml but they last a very long time and you can stock up for 50% off during the January sales. I love apple fragrance, it's very cosy and warm and it's giving me winter mood.

The texture is very gel-like which makes the product easy to pump without getting it everywhere. I can definitely feel the fragrance on my hands for some time after I wash the soap off. My skin is relatively normal and I don't have any issue with using most bar and liquid soaps, I often apply hand cream afterwards though. I would highly recommend the Red Apple liquid soap because it's one of the products with the best fragrance that is definitely worth getting this year.

I love the packaging of this cream, it's gorgeous and you can see Yves Rocher paid attention to details to make it very festive. The cream comes in the typical for the Christmas LE collection packaging of 75 ml for 2.50€.

Compared to previous collection this cream has a more glycerin-y texture and it feels more hydrating. It gets absorbed quickly but it leaves a slight protective layer on your skin. It's an improvement from previous formulas and if your hands are drier, it will be more beneficial to you.

However this cream is very disappointing as part of the LE collection because I feel like YR forgot to add the fragrance because it feels nothing like Red Apple and it definitely doesn't smell like the rest of the products. In fact it reminds me of an old discontinued cream in a yellow packaging they used to have that didn't smell all that nice. It's also a shame that they don't provide testers in store for all of the products but only of the shower gel because it feels very deceiving.

Обаче, кремът е много разочароващ като част от лимитираната колекция, защото имам чувството, че YR са забравили да му добавят аромата, тъй като по никакъв начин не мирише на Червена Ябълка и е тотално различен от останалите продукти. Всъщност ми напомня на един стар спрян от производство крем в жълта опаковка, който въобще не миришеше приятно. Жалко че не предлагат тестери в магазина на всички продукти, а само на душ гела, защото е много заблуждаващо.

I'll finish this product but I don't really recommend it. If you want a good hand cream with a strong fragrance, the Plaisirs Nature are a better option. They also come in a holiday set too.

Ще доизползвам този продукт, но не го препоръчвам. Ако искате хубав крем за ръце със силен аромат, препоръчвам Plaisirs Nature като по-добър вариант. Идват и в празничен комплект.

I'm wondering if I should bring the hand cream to the office because I don't really have any desire to finish it and I've only been using so I could write this review.

The exfoliating shower gel comes in 200 ml packaging and it retails for 4.95€. Quite honestly, unless you have a weird obsession about the texture like me, it isn't worth it to pay twice as much compared to the regular shower gel because the products are almost identical.

I love that it has natural exfoliants, however, when you use it to shower in regular quantities, you can't really feel the particles doing anything. It looks really pretty though but I admit this is a ridiculous reason to pay twice as much.

Харесва ми, че има естествени ексфолианти, обаче ако го използвате под душа в нормални количества, въобще не можете да усетите частиците. Изглежда много красиво, но си признавам, че е глупава причина да платите двойно за него.

The product smells amazing, you can feel the whole bathroom smelling like it for the next hour and it lingers on your skin even if you don't apply any lotion afterwards. I would recommend it if you like the texture.

Yves Rocher claims this is a Bath & Shower Gel. This is my first year of having a bathtub for quite some time but I admit I am not a bathtub person and I take one probably once every 6 months. I haven't tried it this way yet but I'm curious to give it a go at least once.

I was gifted a mini shower gel which will come handy for the future travel plans we're having. The shower gel makes a rich thick foam with minimal amount of product and it smells marvelous! It feels like a sweet rich autumn apple, it's warm and refreshing at the same time.

Подариха ми и мини душ гел, който ще е практичен за бъдещите планове за пътувания, които имаме. Душ гелът прави много богата гъста пяна с минимално количество продукт и ухае магично! Усеща се като сладка богата есенна ябълка, топъл е и освежаващ едновременно.

I would have been even more excited if they added cinnamon to the fragrance but it remains more versatile without it for sure. This is a product that would definitely make a great gift for anyone and the fragrance is very gender-neutral.

Compared to the exfoliating shower gel, you need way less product for the same amount of foam and these shower gels usually last me months.

Сравнен с ексфолиращия душ гел, трябва далеч по-малко продукт за същото количество пяна и тези душ гелове на мен ми издържат с месеци.

I read terrible reviews about the body lotion this year which made me doubt whether I should get this collection at all or not but I decided to bite the bullet.

Прочетох ужасни ревюта за този лосион за тяло тази година, което ме накара да се съмнявам дали искам цялата колекция изобщо, но реших да ѝ дам шанс.

The body lotion has very similar ingredients list compared to the hand cream, yet the texture feels quite different. The texture is different than all of the previous Christmas lotions I've tried before. They used to be more liquid and emollient while this one just like the hand cream feels more glycerin-y. The product retails at 4.50€ for 200 ml.

As you can clearly see from the photos, the product is hard to spread and it absorbs very slowly. It leaves you with these white lines that take a lot of massaging to fully sink in. I had similar issues with Cien's LE Summer collection from 2016. This texture issue makes the product quite annoying to use and I'm very certain once winter is over I will not be feeling like using this regularly at all because it's too much hassle.

Както ясно се вижда от снимките, продуктът много трудно се разнася и се абсорбира много бавно. Остава тези бели линии, които отнемат доста масажиране, за да попият. Имах подобни проблеми с лимитираната лятна колекция на Cien от 2016. Проблемната текстура прави продукта много дразнещ за употреба и съм сигурна, че щом зимата свърши въобще няма да ми се иска да използвам продукта редовно, защото изисква твърде много усилия.

Compared to the hand cream, the lotion has way stronger apple fragrance but it's nowhere near as good as the shower gels and the soap. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you really want to have a set with the shower gel.

Сравнен с крема за ръце, лосионът има много по-силен аромат, но не е толкова силен колкото душ геловете и сапуна. Не бих го препоръчала, освен ако не искате комплект с душ гела.

And now, the biggest surprise of all, the star of this review, the lip balm. I've always loved the Christmas lip balms for their great fragrances but this one is my most favorite of all. The lip balm has the typical Yves Rocher texture, it's greasy and light and it's okay for casual reapplying during the day. You receive 4.8 g of product for 2.20€.

И сега, най-голямата изненада от всички, звездата на ревюто, балсамът за устни. Винаги съм харесвала коледните балсами за устни, заради хубавите аромати, но този ми е най-любимият. Балсамът за устни има типичната текстура за Yves Rocher, мазен и лек и приятен за ежедневно нанасяне. Получавате 4.8 г продукт за 2.20€.

I really love the fragrance here, you can feel the apple very well and the lip balm has this sweetness to it that currently makes it my favorite to use. If you're only going to pick one item from this collection, I highly recommend you the lip balm. Quite honestly, I am slightly disappointed with this collection and I wish some of the products were of better quality but it's definitely worth checking out for that price. I will use up almost everything with pleasure. The review for the Golden Tea should be up next week by the way!

Много ми харесва ароматът тук, ябълката се усеща много добре и балсамът има една сладост, който в момента го прави мой любимец. Ако ще си вземете само един продукт от колекцията, горещо ви препоръчвам балсама. Честно казано, леко съм разочарована от тази колекция и ми се искаше някои от продуктите да бяха с по-добро качество, но определено си струва да я погледнете за тази цена. Ще използвам почти всичко с удоволствие. Ревюто за Златния Чай трябва да се появи следващата седмица, между другото.
