REVIEW: Yves Rocher Repair Lotion Extra Dry Skin

As ashamed as I am, I have been putting up this review for 2 years. Yeah, 2 whole years. It's not a secret I love body lotions. But how often do I write about lotions? Yeah, not often enough. And considering this body lotion is one of my holy grails and I've repurchased again and again for these 2 years, it's time to step up my game and give it the review it totally deserves.

Yves Rocher Repair Lotion Extra Dry Skin is something I bought in a whim, which is a thing that happens often with the company. However, their products are affordable enough in France to be able to do it and on top of that their quality is pretty darn good for the price so I am almost always very satisfied with my random purchases. So, I got this lotion when it was on a sale because I needed the free delivery. The older packaging was bulkier but Yves Rocher changed it maybe a year ago and they use less plastic now, so the product is considered less polluting. That's really cool, I must admit! It's a very smart non invasive way to use less plastic.

The lotion contains 150 ml of goodness and it usually retails for 9€ but Yves Rocher have coupons and sale so often you can always find it for half the price. The body lotion's star ingredient is shea butter and isn't that my most favorite butter/oil for my body! Shea (karité) butter is simply a miracle for dry skin!

The top ingredient after water is Butyrospermum parkii Butter which is nothing else but my favorite shea butter which is a great moisturizer and I am extremely satisfied it's indeed the star ingredient in the product as advertised. The next ingredient is PEG-2 Stearate which is an emulsifier. Next is Methylpropanediol which is one of the solvents Yves Rocher uses quite often. Glycine soja Oil (soybean) I actually ended up quite liking it for my face on its own, it's an excellent moisturizer. Dimethicone is an emollient. Cocos nucifera Oil (coconut) is one of these oils I have a love/hate relationship with because it's heavenly for my body but my face absolutely hates it, thankfully we have it in a body lotion! Brassica campestris Seed Oil (grapeseed) is again an oil my face and body love. Glycerin is one of my favorite moisturizers. Isopropyl Palmitate is a moisturizer my face doesn't like very much, but it's great in a body product. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is  a fragrance. Octyldodecyl Myristate is another emollient and a moisturizer. Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol used as a moisturizer. Trilaurin is a solvent and a moisturizer. Behenyl Alcohol is viscosity control agent. Aphloia theiformis Leaf Extract (aphloia) is an astringent. Phenoxyethanol is a preservative. Hydroxyethyl Acrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer is a viscosity control agent. Fragrance is self-explanatory. Ceteareth-20 is an emulsifier. Xanthan Gum is a viscosity control agent. Tocopheryl Acetate is a form of vitamin E, it's an antioxidant. Sorbic Acid and BHT are preservatives. Sodium Hydroxide is pH adjuster. Sorbitan Isostearate and Polysorbate-60 are emulsifiers. Tocopherol is another form of vitamin E. Other than having excellent ingredient list, this lotion also has perfect texture. It's really thick, actually it's more comparable to a body butter than to a lotion. A little goes a long way with this one which is why I am not complaining from the size of the tube. A tiny amount is enough for my whole legs.

Освен, че има отлични съставки, този лосион има е перфектна текстура. Много е гъст и е сравним повече с масло за тяло, отколкото с лосион. Малко количество е достатъчно с него и не се оплаквам от размера на тубичката. Съвсем малко стига за целите ми крака.

As I already said, this product is a holy grail for a reason. It's super moisturizing and it makes my skin amazing. It absorbs quite quickly but I can definitely feel there, moisturizing my skin throughout the day. It doesn't leave an icky sticky feeling, although it is not my most favorite product for summer because it can feel heavy. However if you have an important occasion and you want your legs to look ah-mazing, I would definitely recommend using this the night before. The fragrance is really standard, it smells like a typical body lotion. I'd call it a safe-choice and very not-in-your-face. I've recommended this product to friends and family and pretty much everyone fell in love with it! The best part is, it's really affordable because I can't name other body lotions as impressive as this one for under 5€. This doesn't just sit on top of my skin (I am looking at you Yves Rocher Malaysian Coconut Silky Lotion!), it moisturizes and repairs the dry skin.

Както вече казах, този продукт ми е тотален любимец не без причина. Страшно хидратиращ е прави кожата ми невероятна. Абсорбира се доста бързо, но определено го усещам там, хидратиращ кожата ми през деня. Не оставя лепкаво усещане, въпреки че не е най-любимият ми продукт за лятото, тъй като може да бъде и тежък. Но ако имате важен повод и искате краката ми да изглеждат абсолютно невероятно, определено бих препоръчала да го ползвате предишната вечер. Ароматът е съвсем стандартен, мирише на типичен лосион за тяло. Бих го нарекла безопасен избор и ненатрапчив. Препоръчвала съм го на семейство и приятели и общо взето всички се влюбиха в него! Любимата ми част е, че е много достъпен, защото не се сещам за толкова добри лосиони под 5€. Не стои просто върху кожата (гледам към теб Yves Rocher Malaysian Coconut Silky Lotion!), а я хидратира и възстановява.

Despite me and my body lotions obsession (I believe I have around 15 currently), always keep a tube of this one for those times when I simply something that works. The fragrance is not fancy but this leaves me with such glowing moisturized skin I don't think it's possible to outperform it. For those of you with drier skin looking for a body lotion, definitely give this one a go, I don't believe you will be disappointed. As you all know, I love Yves Rocher because they make lots of affordable good quality products, but if I had to pick my favorite product by them, it would be this lotion. Въпреки моята мания по лосионите за тяло (май имам около 15 в момента), винаги си държа по една туба от този, за онези дни когато просто искам нещо, което работи. Ароматът не е невероятен, но продуктът ме оставя с такава сияйна и хидратирана кожа, не мисля, че е възможно да бъде надминат. За тези с по-суха кожа, които си търсят лосион за тяло, определено погледнете този, не мисля, че ще останете разочаровани. Както знаете, обичам Yves Rocher защото правят много достъпни продукти с добро качество, но ако трябва да си избера най-любимият техен продукт, то това е този лосион.
