REVIEW: Yves Rocher Nourishing Lip Balm Spicy Vanilla | Candied Orange & Almond

I decided to make a quick review for my current favorite lip balms from Yves Rocher's Christmas collection. I picked up Spicy Vanilla and Candied Orange & Almond although I am still tempted to get the Candied Orange & Cinnamon too.

The lip balms come in this gorgeous Christmassy packaging. They were wrapped in safety plastic. Their full price is currently 2,50€ however I had a discount as a regular customer and I got them for 1,90€ each. Each contains 4,8 g of product and they are very economical because I am using them constantly and they haven't moved much.

Балсамите пристигат в страхотна коледна опаковка. Бяха опаковани в предпазен целофан. Пълната им цена е 2,50€, но аз имах отстъпка като редовен клиент и ги взех за 1,90€ всеки. Всеки от тях съдържа 4,8 гр продукт и са много икономични, защото ги ползвам постоянно, а изобщо не са се смалили.

I uploaded the ingredients lists to CosDNA, you can check the one for Spicy Vanilla here and for Candied Orange & Almond here. Except for the pigments and fragrances the ingredients are pretty much the same. The main ingredient is Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 which is an emollient and a moisturizer. Isopropyl Palmitate is a moisturizer. Ethylhexyl Stearate, Cocoglycerides and Beeswax are all emollients. Castor Oil is a moisturizer and emollient. Ethylhexyl Caprylate/Caprate and Synthetic Wax are both emollients. Polybutene is a binding agent. Shea Butter is a great moisturizer. Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax is one of the key components of petrolatum, it's an emollient. Hydrogenated Castor Oil is an emollient and an emulsifier. Sweet Almond Oil is an emollient. The rest of the ingredients are different pigments and fragrances. The ingredients are safe and quite good in my opinion.

Spicy Vanilla is my favorite out of the two. It has a very soft fragrance, you can definitely feel both the vanilla and the cinnamon. I had the regular vanilla lip balm and I like this one so much more. I wish it wasn't a limited edition. I can feel the fragrance on my lips for quite some time as well. When it comes the hydration, these lip balms aren't super hydrating and definitely not the deep treatment suitable for harsh winter. However it's not really that cold here and they do a great job at keeping my lips moist. They definitely don't dry out my lips after a while like some lip balms with similar light texture do.

Spicy Vanilla е любимият ми от двата. Има много мек аромат, определено се усещат ванилията и канелата. Имах редовния балсам с ванилия и този ми харесва много повече. Иска ми се да не беше лимитиран. Усещам аромата на устните си доста време. Колкото до хидратацията, тези балсами не са много подхранващи и определено не са дълбоко възстановяващи подходящи за студена зима. Но тъй като при нас не е студено се справят доста добре с хидратацията на моите устни. Определено не изсушават устните след известно време както правят някои балсами с подобни текстури.

Candied Orange & Almond was slightly disappointing because I expected the almond to be very noticeable and it isn't. This isn't as sweet as I imagined it. It's a little but too perfumy and if you don't like strong fragrances you might wanna skip it. Just like the Spicy Vanilla, the fragrance lasts a pretty decent time on my lips. It provides the same light but sufficient hydration.

Candied Orange & Almond беше леко разочароващ, защото очаквах бадемът да бъде по-осезаем, а не е. Не е толкова сладък колкото очаквах. И е малко по-парфюмен, така че ако не обичате силни аромати по-добре го пропуснете. Също като Spicy Vanilla, ароматът се задържа доста дълго на устните ми. Предлага същата лека, но достатъчна хидратация.

Overall, these two lip balms are a very awesome treat and I really enjoy using them. They aren't anything spectacular and certainly not a must-have but the fragrances are quite unique and if you're a fan of everything festive right now you will definitely like them. What I like: Affordable (2.5€)  Huge amount of product (4,8 g) Gorgeous packaging  Unique scents  Light hydration  Economical Very good ingredients  What I don't like:  The fragrances can be overwhelming  Not a good deep treatment for chapped lips All in all: 4/5  I hope you enjoyed my review. Като цяла тези два балсама са готина благинка и си ги ползвам с голямо удоволствие. Не са нещо невероятно, нито пък must-have, но ароматите са доста нетипични и ако си падате по всичко коледно в момента, със сигурност ще ви харесат.
